Columbia Northwest is the manufacturer behind Aliner, the original A-frame pop-up camper that’s all about one thing: making camping feel simple again. The brand story starts in the early 1970s when Ralph Tait began building a new kind of lightweight, hard-wall folding camper in his garage in Bend, Oregon... a design that was sensible, different, and light enough to be towed by “just about any vehicle.” Demand spread fast, and what began as a garage build turned into a family-built business.
That “build it, tow it, sell it” DNA is still the best way to describe Aliner today. As the story goes, the family moved to Pennsylvania, built campers two-at-a-time, and literally hauled them cross-country to sell—until the family retired in 2007. Columbia Northwest continues building Aliner with the same pride and craftsmanship legacy, and Aliner positions itself as a trusted A-frame camper brand since 1984, known for fast setup.
