Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies

One of Canada’s best features is the natural beauty that is surrounding its citizens and visitors at all times. And thankfully, many of those gorgeous natural settings are protected for the public by the National Parks System. The following are some of our favorite parks in the country, but with over 220 national parks, marine conservation areas, historic sites and other protected lands, you may just want to fire up your RV and go discover which ones you love best.

Banff National Park

Banff National Park is bound to blow you away. Nestled in the Canadian Rockies, this national park offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in all of Canada with 6,641 square meters of gorgeous mountain peaks, tranquil woods, flower meadows and Lake Louise’s famous emerald waters. Although, Banff visitors don’t just get to admire the beautiful scenery, they get to immerse themselves in it by skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, canoeing, golfing, hiking, whitewater rafting and enjoying just about every outdoor activity imaginable. Even better, Banff National Park is just a 1.5-hour drive west of Calgary.

Thousand Islands National Park

If you prefer massive expanses of water over mountaintops, you’ll fall in love with Thousand Islands National Park at first sight. This Ontario park offers numerous campsites on 12 islands that can be accessed by boat. These gorgeous rocky, pine-covered islands are located only a few hours from some of Canada’s biggest hotspots including Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.

Pacific Rim National Park Reserve

British Columbia is internationally known as one of the most beautiful and exciting destinations in the world for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you’re into surfing (Long Beach is one of Canada’s best surf spots) or hiking (a 75-kilometer hiking trail weaves through the park’s forest) or exploring islands by paddle or motor, the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve on Vancouver Island’s western shore is guaranteed to make you appreciate the Great White North.

Keeping Your RV Clean

It’s time to get your RV in top shape for spring and summer. RV adventures can pop up without notice, so there’s no better time to ensure you’re ready when adventure calls. Follow these simple steps to prepare your RV for another season of camping fun.

Create a Checklist

A spring cleaning checklist can help ensure you’ve covered all of the bases when preparing your RV for camping season. Make a list of items you want to stock in your RV as well as the areas that need to be cleaned and organized. Your list will help guarantee you don’t end up at the campsite without key items.

Look for Deterioration

Always check for deterioration of the interior and exterior of your RV before starting another camping season. Catching deterioration ahead of time can save you from having to perform costly repairs in the end. If you find deterioration and repair it before you hit the road, you won’t have to deal with leaks or repairs when you’re trying to enjoy the great outdoors.

Clean Inside and Out

You may feel like your spring cleaning is finished when you’re done washing the exterior of your RV, but the interior is just as important. Performing a deep cleaning of the interior of your RV will keep you more comfortable on the road while lengthening your RV’s lifetime too.

Check Your Equipment

Nothing is worse than hitting the road and finding that your TV antennae or solar panels aren’t functioning properly. Check all of your systems and equipment to ensure they’re in top working condition before you hit the road.
